3. Is Pool Perf® cheaper than glass pool fencing?

When comparing total project costs, Pool Perf® is often comparable to - and sometimes cheaper than - frameless glass, especially once long-term maintenance is factored in. Glass also needs two people and a sucker lifter; Pool Perf® panels weigh 5–13kg.

  • Upfront costs: Similar to quality frameless glass, depending on design
  • Ongoing costs: No costly cleaning, corrosion removal, or glass replacement
  • Durability: Marine-grade aluminium construction lasts for decades

4. Does Pool Perf® have a cost calculator?

Yes - our Pool Perf® Cost Calculator is coming soon! It will let you enter your fence length, number of gates, and preferred design to get an instant estimate.

Until it’s live, you can use our Pool Perf® Quote Request to get an accurate price from our team, usually within 24 hours.

5. Where can I buy Pool Perf®?

Pool Perf® is only available through Decoview® and our authorised dealers.

  • Not sold at Bunnings, Stratco, Fence Guru, or other generic retailers

Competitor Comparison

18. Are all perforated pool fences the same?

No. Kit form perforated fencing requires on-site assembly, which can:

  • Lead to incorrect assembly and non-compliance
  • Damage panels and coatings
  • Reduce strength and rigidity

Pool Perf® Advantage:

  • Professionally assembled in a controlled factory environment
  • Tabbed-and-slotted frame system - the frame members tab and slot into one another, preventing twist and guaranteeing the frame stays square. This construction is unique to Pool Perf®
  • The perforated infill is installed independently, after the frame is assembled, then riveted around the full perimeter with pre-treated, powder-coated rivets for added strength
  • Built to exact specifications for AS 1926.1 compliance
  • Delivered ready to install with compliance documentation

More questions

No. A tape measure, a drill, a level and normal hand tools cover it. There are no specialised spigots like glass fencing needs, and nothing you have to hire. Depending on your post type you may need a core drill or post-hole digger, both of which are easily hired.

If you can build a flat-pack wardrobe and use a drill, you can install this. Panels arrive fully assembled - you’re fixing a finished panel in place, not fabricating one. Most panels are up inside 30 minutes. The genuinely tricky parts are measuring correctly and hanging the gate.

A standard residential run is comfortably a weekend for one person. Setting posts is the slow part, and if you’re concreting or grouting you’ll need to allow curing time before hanging panels off them.

Yes. Panels weigh between 5 and 13kg, so there’s no lifting equipment and no second person required. Compare that with a glass panel, which needs two people and a sucker lifter.

This is the real risk with DIY, so be careful here. Panels are manufactured to the sizes you supply and cannot be returned because a measurement was out. Measure every bay individually, from the bottom of the post, and apply the formula for your system. If you’re unsure, send us your measurements and we’ll check them before anything is made.

The product is - Pool Perf® panels are made to AS1926.1 and NATA tested (report AZT0434.19). But compliance of the finished barrier depends on the installation too: barrier height, ground clearance, gate hardware, and keeping the non-climbable zone clear. As the pool owner, that responsibility is yours. Most states also require certification or inspection, so check with your local council before you start.

Call us. Unlimited support by phone or email is part of what you’re buying, and we’d much rather talk you through something than have you guess. There’s also the video library and the written guides.

Yes - that’s where perforated aluminium beats glass. Raked panels are made with an angled top to follow the fall. The barrier height and the 1200mm arc of compliance still have to be satisfied along the whole run, so measuring matters even more on a slope. See the raked panel guides on the Channel Fit and Bracket Fit pages.

Channel Fit gives a zero-gap finish with no visible brackets, and panels are made to exact size. Bracket Fit has a designed 80mm side gap and the frame can be trimmed on site, which makes it more forgiving. Full comparison on How It Works.

Made-to-measure products can’t be returned for change of mind, incorrect sizing or measuring errors. Your rights under Australian Consumer Law for faulty goods are unaffected. Transit damage must be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Panels are individually wrapped in Geofabric, fixings sealed in sleeves, everything palletised and delivered to your door. Additional HIAB charges can apply if your site has access or unloading issues. We recommend you or a nominee are on site to receive it.

PolyPerf® - the same Pure Perf® look with an HDPE infill instead of punched aluminium, at a lower price point, still AS1926.1 compliant and still assembled free.
